Welcome to the American Boerboel Club
- Helping those individuals who wish to enroll their dogs in the AKC Foundation Stock Service (FSS) Program.
- Educating the public about Boerboels.
- Providing information on conformation shows and other events to exhibit Boerboels including obedience, tracking, agility, rally, Canine Good Citizen, temperament testing through American Temperament Society (ATTS) our own BST and other beneficial activities.
- Helping potential owners find an appropriate breeder and their new puppy.
- Keeping members, breeders, trainers and potential owners up-to-date regarding important events, health issues and bloodlines.
- Providing information on rescue associations or performing some limited rescue services.
- Offering a venue where Boerboel owners can meet and share their similar yet diverse interests and also have opportunities to guide and shape the future of the Boerboel in America over time through the democratic process.
The American Boerboel club was founded in July 2006,
that is also the date the Boerboel was accepted into the AKC Foundation Stock Service Program.
Although the ABC is a small club, with common concern for a positive future for the Boerboel in the U.S and
worldwide, we are looking forward to a growing membership and hosting events throughout the states.
As of January 2008, the AKC has accepted the Boerboel to compete in AKC shows that offer companion and performance events.
All Boerboels registered with the AKC FSS program will be eligible to win AKC titles!

American Boerboel Club Championship will be modeled after the AKC points schedule, earned by winning at
ABC conformation specialty events, AKC shows and matches or at other recognized rare breed organizations events.
